An often wondered question amongst those who want to stop smoking, is...

"When I give up smoking, and how long will it be before I start to see any effect?"

After stopping smoking, your body starts to recover almost immediately.
Clinical research over many years, has shown that when someone does stop smoking, their body has a tremendous ability to recover from the damage that smoking has caused to their body over the years.
Of course, the time it takes to heal will vary from person to person, depending on age, amount smoked, the number of years spent smoking, the number of years as a smoker etc.

Medium to long-term:

Risk of developing lung cancer, other cancers, heart attack, stroke and chronic lung disease is reduced - the sooner you stop, the sooner your risk starts going down.
Stopping smoking at any age increases your life expectancy, provided that you stop before the onset of serious disease. Even if you have developed a disease, you can benefit from stopping as your body will be under less strain and be able to fight it more easily

A smoker who has suffered from a heart attack can halve the risk of a second heart attack by stopping smoking

Ten years after stopping smoking an ex-smoker's risk of lung cancer is reduced by 30 - 50% compared with that of a continuing smoker

Smokers who stop before the age of 35 have a life expectancy not significantly different from that of a non-smoker

Smokers who stop between 65 and 74 years of age have a better life expectancy beyond 75 than those who continue to smoke .

It's not just your life you are saving. Financially, the cost of smoking soon adds up. Below is a table to show you just what you could be saving per year if you act today and make a life change.

FAQ
Does this work for everyone, I'm not sure if I want to stop, but my partner wants me to?
If you have a genuine desire and really want to stop then I can help stop smoking now. You must be ready to stop, I can't make you, because remember you cannot be made to do ANYTHING you don't want to in hypnosis and that includes stopping smoking. But if you are serious and ready I can help you and make it as easy as possible for you, without any nasty side effects you may have experienced when you have tried to stop before.

I'm not sure if this will work for me?
If you have any doubts or concerns that's fine we can work with that, but you must have the genuine desire and readiness to stop and stay stopped forever, whatever your motivations are. After all if you didn't have any concerns about stopping you would be able to do it on your own without any help.

Does it matter how many I smoke or how long I've been smoking?
It doesn't matter how many you smoke, 1 a day or 80+ a day, or even for how long, whether it be 6 months or 60 years. I have worked with people young and old, who have smoked for longer than they care to remember, to someone who has only smoked for a few months. It doesn't matter if you only smoke 1 or 2 a day or even a week or a 100 a day, if you want to stop that's too many.
